The entertainment provided by the Burlington Capitol Theater not only improves the quality of life in our community but is also a driver of tourism and economic activity. The proposed additions of a 120-seat black box theater and improved sound equipment will allow the staff at the Capitol to create and schedule diverse programming. This initiative will enhance the lives of Southeast Iowa residents and attract new and returning tourists whose spending greatly contributes to the local economy.
Located in the heart of downtown, the restored Burlington Capitol Theater recaptures an era when movies and live entertainment were enjoyed in beautiful and unique theaters.
