Performing Arts Centers cannot open their doors without one very important element in the equation: a strong, dedicated, disciplined volunteer corps.
BURLINGTON CAPITOL THEATER VOLUNTEERS’ MISSION STATEMENT
The Burlington Capitol Theater Volunteers have chosen to become involved in protecting and furthering a landmark unique to our community. Our mission as advocates of the Burlington Capitol Theater is to ensure that its historical significance continues to be recognized by those who remember and those who will discover the legend of this historic facility.
The Burlington Capitol Theater Volunteers are members of an elite and hard working group who wish to share pride and enthusiasm for the theatre with others. Volunteers are essential to the success of the theatre. The Volunteer is often the only theatre representative who has direct contact with the patron. Volunteers' actions and comments will directly convey a lasting impression to the thousands of people who frequent the theatre.
The overall role of the Volunteer is to welcome patrons to the theatre in a friendly manner and to facilitate movement of the patrons throughout their visit. The impression each Volunteer imparts to patrons must be a positive one to allow patrons to enjoy the entertainment and return home with memories of a pleasant theatre experience.
Anyone wishing to serve as a Capitol Volunteer should attend the monthly Volunteer Meeting. Lasting about an hour, meetings are typically scheduled for 6:00pm on the last Wednesday of each month. Positions currently staffed by Volunteers include:
Artist Merchandise Sellers
Box Office attendants
Volunteering is a great way to support your Burlington Capitol Theater, learn new skills, make new friends and see some terrific programming for free.
